LandAirSea – Tracks Your Motorcycles With No Monthly Fees

GPS Tracker

Size: Depth: 2.275  inches Height 0.945 inches

  • Get Unlimited Tracking Data Every 60 Seconds
  • Receive Alerts The Moment Your Motorcycle Is Moved
  • Smallest GPS Tracking System For Bikes
The LandAirSea GPS tracker is the best motorcycle GPS tracker in our opinion for a few reasons:
  • Accuracy: It’s pinpoint accurate within a few feet. If anyone steals your bike, you’ll know exactly where it is at all times.
  • No Subscription For a Year: You get a full year of free service. All you have to do is buy the device and you’re good to go. Other GPS trackers will cost the same amount for the device, but you’ll pay at least $10/month for service. With LAS, you pay nothing.
  • Location Updates: Here’s a little known secret in the motorcycle GPS world: 3-minute updates are useless if your bike is ever stolen. Do you know how far a thief can drive in 3 minutes? They could be across state lines by then. If you show the police your bike’s past location from 3 minutes ago, there’s not much they can do with it. The LAS sends updates up to every 1 second, meaning you’ll see exactly where your bike is in real-time (and get it back quickly).
All in all, with the accuracy, fast updates, and full year of free service, there’s nothing even close to the LAS tracker. The only downside is you pay a bit more than other devices, but you’ll easily earn that back from what you save on fees.

Invoxia – Cellular GPS Tracker That Tracks Your Bike

4/5

Size: 4 inches x  1 inches x  0.4 inches

Invoxia’s bike tracker comes in at #2 on our list because it’s almost as good as the LandAirSea, but it’s a lot cheaper.
You get great accuracy, 30-second updates, and even geo-fencing (where you set up safe zones that your bike can’t leave) for less than $100 INCLUDING two years of service.
That’s really an incredible deal if you think about it.
Now here’s the problem...
During our testing, it just wasn’t nearly as accurate or fast as it claimed to be. There were “log jams” with the location and notifications, so we didn’t really get real-time updates. And the location only showed the general vicinity of the bike within a hundred feet or so.
In the event of an emergency, you should still be able to get your bike back, but we think that it’s a game of inches when your bike is on the line.
If you want something that’s good enough and saves you a few bucks, have at it.

Amazon.com Review - May 25, 2023

I am greatly disappointed. The device does not show destinations. It's not worth wasting your money on nothing. I will return. It has to be reinstalled every day. However, it does not show every destination. So the device mostly doesn't work. I waited for setup again because GPS doesn't show where my car is going. I waited for two. Time download: 48 minutes, but the system doesn’t work! That’s ridiculous!

Rewire DB2: Hard-Wired Motorcycle GPS Trackers

4.5/5

Size: 5.31 x 2.68 x 0.59 inches

The Redwire DB2 is a great cheap motorcycle GPS tracker that’s perfect for anyone on a budget.
It gets the job done and costs less than $30 for the device plus about $10/month for a subscription. You really can’t do better than that at this price point.
$10 a month gets you:
  • Real-time tracking using Google maps
  • Text and email alerts
  • Geo-fencing (when you choose a safe zone and the device notifies you if it leaves the zone)
  • Flexible subscription plans with no contracts
It actually did pretty well during our testing. Way better than we expected for a “cheap” device.
The problem is that this is a budget device, and budget devices are going to do budget device things.
The updates take a LONG time. There were a few times we were moving, and it showed the bike as sitting still. And a few times it took updates 5 minutes or a bit longer to show on our phone. That’s not going to cut it if someone is making off with your bike.
That, and the location just isn’t as pinpoint accurate as the “big boy” GPS trackers like the LAS. It’ll do the trick if you need it to, but don’t expect too much out of it.

Monimoto is THE name in all things GPS tracking, and their motorcycle key fob GPS tracker is perfect for motorcycles, ATVs, and other off-road vehicles.
You couldn’t destroy this thing if you tried to. Well, you probably could, but you get the point.
It’s tough as nails, is extra water-resistant, and ultra durable. And it comes with all of the features the other GPS trackers do like real-time location tracking, historical location, alerts, and fast updating.
The only problem is this might be overkill if you’re just riding your bike around town. It’s dang near $200, and about $50 per year for the subscription.
Considering you probably don’t compete in races or take your bike into the Amazon (we’re just assuming), we don’t think you need to pay that for a motorcycle GPS.
If you want world-class support and amazing accuracy, be our guest.

Bike Trac is a portable GPS tracker that alerts you to everything.
It can tell you when the ignition gets turned on, when the battery is low, and when your bike moves (or leaves a safe zone).
If anything fishy happens, the Secure Operating Centre (SOC) will be notified and will reach out to you via call, text, email, or push notification (if you have the app installed).
After confirming the theft, Bike Trac will begin actively tracking your bike while you report it to the police. Pretty cool, right?
Bike Trac also allows you to monitor your bike’s location 24/7 via the mobile app.
You can even view your journeys, which can be downloaded in GPX format. If you have an accident, a third party of your choice will be alerted. Even if your bike gets knocked over, you’ll receive a notification.

5 Theft Prevention Tips Every Motorcycle Rider Needs To Know

The best way of getting your bike back is by not letting it get stolen in the first place. We know that it sounds like “How to cure a hangover? Well, don’t drink!" but it’s true.
We just wanted to share a few bike theft prevention tips to help you keep your bike safe. These will help even if you have a GPS tracker installed:
    • Lock it Up: Always secure your motorcycle with a strong, durable lock, such as a U-lock or chain lock, to deter thieves. You should also lock your motorcycle to a solid, immovable object such as a bike rack or pole.
    • Park in Safe Areas: When parking your motorcycle, choose well-lit, populated areas. Avoid parking in dark, secluded areas where thieves may be more likely to target your motorcycle.
    • Use a Cover: Invest in a high-quality motorcycle cover to protect your motorcycle from the elements and from prying eyes. A cover can also make your motorcycle less noticeable to potential thieves.
    • Use an Alarm: Consider installing a motorcycle alarm to deter thieves and alert you if someone tries to tamper with your motorcycle. Some alarms also have an immobilizer that prevents the motorcycle from starting if someone tries to steal it.
    • Invest in a Portable GPS Tracker: Motorcycle GPS trackers provide live tracking that can give you the exact location of your bike if it is stolen. Some of the most popular ones on Amazon include Amcrest GPS GL300, Spy Tec GPS GL300, and PrimeTracking Personal GPS Tracker.
Motorcycle GPS tracker

What Is A Motorcycle GPS Tracker?

A motorcycle GPS tracker is a location tracking device that uses GPS technology to monitor the movements of your motorcycle in real-time. A portable GPS tracker provides speed and route history, theft alerts, geofencing, and remote ignition control, which are all accessible through a smartphone app. Typically, motorcycle riders invest in tracking systems for anti-theft alerts.

What You Should Know Before Buying A GPS Tracker For Motorcycle

Before we wrap things up, we want to share a few tips for purchasing a GPS tracker for your motorcycle. We find that a lot of customers care too much about added extras like a key fob, the size of the tracker, and the subscription cost per month.
In the end, what really matters is,
“Can the dang thing help me get my bike back if it gets stolen?”.
What’s the point of buying a fancy-looking tracker and saving a few bucks here and there if the thing doesn’t even work? It’s literally pointless.

Focus on ones that actually provide accurate location services with fast, real-time updates.
Here are a few of the top features you should pay attention to when shopping for a motorcycle GPS tracker:
  • Real GPS Tracking: Make sure the device you select has real-time tracking capabilities and updates every five seconds. This helps you quickly recover your bike if it is stolen. Like we said before, 3-5-minute updates are worthless. The thief could be in another state by then.
  • Battery Power: Look for a GPS device with a long battery life or one that can be hardwired into the motorcycle’s electrical system. A dead GPS tracker won’t help you get your bike back.
  • Water Resistance: If you frequently ride in rain or snow, make sure the device you select is water-resistant or waterproof.
  • Mounting Options: Some motorcycle GPS trackers can be attached directly to the bike, while others can be placed in a backpack or luggage. We recommend one that attaches directly to the bike because the battery lasts forever.
  • Price: GPS trackers can range in price from a few dollars to several hundred dollars. We suggest investing in at least $100-$200 for a good GPS tracker. If you try to pinch pennies here, it’ll come back to bite you.
  • Compatibility: If you have other devices, such as a smartphone or tablet, make sure the motorcycle GPS tracker you select is compatible with them.
  • Subscription Plans & Fees: Some motorcycle GPS trackers require a monthly or yearly subscription fee to access their services. Ideally, you’ll find one that offers 1-2 years of free service with purchase.
  • Customer Support: Make sure the company behind the GPS tracker provides good technical support in case you need help. By the way, real humans are better than bots!

9 Interesting Facts About Motorcycle Theft

  • The highest rate of motorcycle theft occurs in metropolitan areas.
  • California has the highest number of motorcycle thefts in the United States, with over 10,000 reported cases in 2019.
  • Summer months see the highest rates of motorcycle theft.
  • Sport bikes are the most commonly stolen type of motorcycle due to their resale value.
  • Many motorcycle thieves are organized and professional. They target high-end bikes and will ship them out of the country to be sold on the black market.
  • Motorcycles can be stolen in seconds, with thieves using bolt cutters or power tools to break any security locks.
  • Many motorcycle owners don’t have comprehensive theft insurance and are not prepared to handle the financial burden of replacing a stolen motorcycle.

  • Police have increased efforts to combat motorcycle theft, collaborating with the motorcycle community to track down stolen bikes.

Best Motorcycle GPS Trackers – FAQs

Yes! The LandAirSea GPS 54 is a top-rated tracker for motorcycles with no monthly subscription fee. The personal GPS was engineered with a rugged and waterproof design that can withstand harsh weather conditions and only costs $269.00. The compact size makes it perfect for theft prevention, and the GPS locator can easily be mounted anywhere on your motorcycle. The LandAirSea 54 is the best choice for motorcycle riders looking for a reliable GPS tracking solution with no monthly fee!
Very bad. For example, the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) reported that over 46,000 motorcycles were stolen across the U.S. in 2019 alone. Unfortunately, thefts tend to spike during the summer months—July, August, and September—when most riders are out enjoying the open road.
Here's the kicker: only about 30% of stolen motorcycles are ever recovered. Compare that to the 60% recovery rate for stolen cars, and it’s clear that motorcycles are much harder to get back. And even when bikes are found, they’re often damaged or missing parts. So, what can you do? Consider investing in a GPS tracker for your motorcycle. A good tracker can increase the chances of recovery and help you act fast if your bike goes missing. Always park in well-lit areas, use a quality lock, and consider theft prevention tools to help protect your ride.
The Apple AirTag works great for keeping track of your personal items like keys, wallets, and backpacks. But when it comes to motorcycles, it's a different story. Sure, you could technically use an AirTag to get location updates for your bike. However, it’s important to know that the AirTag isn’t built to handle the rough conditions motorcycles often face—think rain, dust, and constant vibration.
If you want reliable, real-time tracking for your motorcycle around the clock, a dedicated GPS tracking device is a much better choice. These trackers are specifically designed to withstand the elements and provide accurate updates, giving you peace of mind that your bike is safe. Looking for a tracker? Check out devices that offer weatherproof features, shock resistance, and long battery life—perfect for a motorcycle that’s always on the move.
